What is the one day USAT license for?

A one-day license allows an athlete to compete in a USA Triathlon sanctioned race without purchasing an annual membership. One-day licenses are purchased for a specific race, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable. Please note that you will not receive an actual membership card for this.

I love this sport! I know I want to obtain an annual USAT membership!

The fastest way to purchase an annual membership is through the USAT Membership Dashboard (http://usatriathlon.org). Just click on the “join or renew” today button in the upper right corner to get started!  Once the transaction is completed, you will be able to print a copy of your membership card and start using your membership immediately to register for races and take advantage of exclusive discounts from their partners and suppliers.

What is Packet Pick Up? Why is it important that I attend?

Packet Pick Up (PPU) is where you will go to officially check into the event. This is usually held at a local running/triathlon store.  You’ll have the opportunity to meet some of the team, ask questions about the event, pick up your event bib, event shirt, goodies and pick up any last minute race needs from the store.

Do yourself a favor and take the time to do this, you’ll be thankful on race morning. If you don’t attend PPU at the designated time/location, you will need to show up extra early to the race and do this.

What do I need to pick up my packet?

TRIUTAH requires a smile and a good attitude. USAT REQUIRES that you must show photo ID at Packet Pick Up and your USAT membership card (if you have one). Don’t have a USAT card? No problem, you can purchase a 1 day or annual USAT license at Packet Pick Up.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?

Due to insurance purposes, all registered athletes must pick up their own packets. The only exception is a parent picking up for their minor child. PLEASE do not send a friend or spouse to pick up for you, we’d really be bummed to send them away empty handed.

What is body marking and why do I need to do it?

Body marking is where we use a marker and write your bib number on you for further identification. You’ll have the option to do this at PPU or at the race site. Volunteers will be there bright and early on race morning  to get you marked up before you race! Listen for those enthusiastic people calling out for body marking and head on over to get it done. Your race number will be marked on your left arm.

I’m super bummed that I signed up, but can’t make the race anymore. What are my options?

Unfortunately we are a no-refund event. Costs to produce the races are typically spent weeks and even months prior to the event. Thank you for understanding. With that said, you may still be in luck!  You can transfer to a friend or family member up to 15 days prior to the event. Or if you purchased the insurance option when registering, you can contact Ticket Guardian directly to be refunded.

We’d love to still meet you. Feel free to swing by packet pick up and say hi and pick up your race shirt!

How are age groups determined?

For all USAT sanctioned events, an athlete’s age is determined based on their age as of December 31st of the year you are racing. Please take into consideration how old you will be after you’ve had your birthday.

Are pets allowed?

We LOVE our pets too, but we kindly ask that you leave your bestie at home where they are safe for the day.
