This race boasts great scenery and a fast run! This event is a point-to-point race, so please pay close attention to this page. We want your race day to go as smooth as possible. This slick ½ marathon begins at the mouth of the beautiful Little Cottonwood Canyon. The 10k has a separate start line that will bring you back to the finish line located at Draper Park in Draper City, UT. After our first year taking over this event in 2018 we have some great ideas and changes coming to this race!

Race Day Info
Saturday, August 17th- 5:30 -6:30am:
Race Day Packet Pick up. Please do your best to come Thursday, but if you can’t, we will have VERY limited packet pick up on race morning at Draper City Park before you jump on the shuttles to head to the race start, be sure to grab your timing chip too before getting on the shuttles. And please plan on arriving early to avoid lines.
5:30am–6:30am: Shuttles will be departing Draper City Park every 15 minutes until 6:30. It is very important that everyone stays on a tight schedule for this as there is NO PARKING near the start line. The city has warned that you will be cited and towed. There will be a seperate shuttle for the 10k start line.
7:00am: ½ Marathon starts!
7:20am: 10k starts!
9:00am: Awards ceremony.
11:00am: Course closes.
Because of the nature of this venue and tight shuttling schedule, we HIGHLY recommend that you pick-up your packet on Thursday so you can be stress free on race morning.

Life is short... running makes it seem longer…
This course is fast. The first 1/2 of the race is very fast and levels out when you arrive into Draper City.
The start of Porters Half is at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon at 5,394 feet above sea level.
From there, runners head downhill winding through neighborhoods down a steep descent onto beautiful Dimple Dell Road, following this road into the city of Draper. In Draper, participants will run on beautiful Porter Rockwell Trail, while looping portions of the city. Runners will then head north along historic Fort Street finishing at Draper Park at 4,528 feet. A total decrease of 866 ft. There are a few small rollers to keep you honest!
Aid stations will be at every mile- mile and a ½ starting at mile 2. Each aid station will have water, electrolyte replacement, high fives and music. Bring it babies!
10k course
6.2 miles
The 10k starts near Draper Park off of Boulter lane. Runners will be shuttled to the starting line to avoid the long walk. The course loops through neighborhoods and merges with the half marathon route. Runners will follow the same course as the half marathoners, winding their way through beautiful Draper City.
* The course will be CLEARLY marked with volunteers, route arrow signs, and markings in the road. Police will be assisting at all major intersections.

Your Finish!
Congratulations friends, you finished Coreterra Racings Porters ½ Marathon and 10k run! We hope you had a great time and have some stories and pics to share with your friends, family and us!
At the finish of your race, please let the volunteers remove your timing chip, drape you with your rad Porters medal and a cool (literally) towel to cool you off! Grab something cold to drink, some finish line food and exchange stories with your pals. There’ll be vendors and games for you and your family to check out too. We sincerely hope you had a good time and that we see you at the next Coreterra Racing event! Thanks for playing with us!!
