TriUtah does not issue refunds of registration fees for any event for any reason.
An event credit for the value of the original entry fee only, good for one year from the date of the event (including the same event the following year) may be issued at the race director’s discretion only in cases where a documented physical injury, military deployment or death of an immediate family member prevents participation and such documentation is submitted at least 14 days prior to the event. Fees for USA Triathlon single-day membership and Active.com processing fees are non-refundable and will not be credited.
In order for your race credit situation to be considered, you must send to TriUtah no later than two weeks (14 days) prior to the event suitable documentation (i.e. doctor’s diagnosis) to support your claim. Please send the documentation to either email@example.com or TriUtah, 400 West 2875 North, Lehi, UT 84043. If not received at least 14 days prior to an event, an event credit will not be considered regardless of the circumstances. All other race credit requests for any reason other than medical, military deployment or family member death will not be considered.
Active.com does not refund participants for events except in cases where an athlete has registered more than once for an event. If you are double-charged for an event, and the event is more than 30 days away, contact Active.com directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 877-228-4881 for a refund of the duplicate entry fee. If the duplicate charge is discovered less than 30 days prior to an event, please contact TriUtah directly via email (info (at) triutah.com). If funds have been transferred to TriUtah from Active.com, TriUtah will issue a refund of the duplicate entry fee via mail. If funds have not been transferred to TriUtah, Active.com will issue the refund directly to the credit card. Please note that TriUtah cannot process credits for credit/debit cards. After issuance of the duplicate registration refund, Active.com will, upon request, refund the “convenience fee” portion of the registration transaction back to your credit/debit card for duplicate entries.
Entry transfer to another person ($10 transfer fee applies)
To transfer your entry to another person, the transfer must be completed no later than 14 days prior to the event. If you are not able to transfer your entry in time, be sure to contact TriUtah after the race for your race shirt, race packet, etc.
Note: In order to transfer your entry, you MUST have registered using an Active.com account. If you registered for the race as a “Guest”, or if you were registered by someone else, you will not be able to transfer your entry at this time.
Step-by-step instructions to transfer your entry:
1. Log into http://www.active.com/myactive
2. Click on the event that you want to transfer/sell your entry to.
3. Click on the link to transfer your registration to another person.
4. Enter the email of the person who will be taking your entry.
5. Once that person registers for the race using your spot, you’ll be refunded your entry fee (minus a $10 processing fee) automatically by Active.com
