All you ladies out there, this one’s for you! Talk it up and get your friends and family members involved! This is a single day event where almost anyone can complete a 5k (~3 miles), so why not run on a team with your girlfriends? The Woman of Steel Relay Run is ~54 miles in length, split into ~3 mile segments. Starting on Saturday morning with teams of 3 – 6 women, each person on your team will take turns running three to six separate 5k’s and finish on Saturday evening (No sleeping in cars)! Located in beautiful Heber Valley, you will start and finish at one of Utah’s most scenic towns where you can treat yourself like a queen!
This race is for anyone and everyone who is ready for a worry-free, lady friendly event (sorry guys, women only, but we want you there to cheer them on!).

Questions & Answers
Is this a multi-day event?
No. Each team will complete the relay in a single day giving teams the opportunity to enjoy the amenities of Heber Valley!
Will there be age categories for the women’s relay?
No there will not be age categories like a traditional triathlon or running event the recognitions. Awards will be provided to Top 3 Teams and Best Costume Team.
With “Memorial Hill,” are the legs 3 mile segments?
Yes, each leg of the event is 3 miles +.5 mile depending on exchange locations.
When do you need to know the complete team?
We will need to know the complete team when registration closes approximately 2 days prior to the event.
What is the minimum age for team members?
The minimum age is 12.
Is there a minimum number of legs each runner must complete?
The minimum number of legs for each participant is 3.
If for some reason a runner can’t do one of their legs can another team member run their leg?
In the event that a participant cannot continue the event, a current member of the existing team may complete any outstanding legs of the event and the team will be adjusted for awards based on the number of participants completing the 3 or more legs.
Does it matter in what order we run the legs?
Order requirement for team participants to complete their legs in the relay does not matter as long as the minimum is met by each participant.
What is the start time, and will there be a staggered start?
The start time will be 7:30 AM. Depending on the number of teams we may be staggering the start over about a 1/2 to 1 hour time frame. Team captains will be contacted soon to get estimated finish times for the teams.
Are there bathrooms at each exchange stop?
No. The bathrooms will only be at the major exchanges. The major exchanges are 1, 4,8,11, and 14. There will be two portable restrooms at the major exchanges.
What type of race support can we expect during the race?
We will have some snack food, water, Heed, and restrooms at the major exchanges (Exchange #’s 1, 4, 8, 11, 14) for each runner of the respect leg. The snacks will be provided to runners in goody bags to help you stay on the run and maintain mobility. The others will not provide support, only a designated exchange area.
Will there be cut-off times?
Cutoff for finishing the event is 6:00pm
Are there rules about what kind of vehicle we can bring or can we use more than one?
One vehicle will be sufficient and we encourage teams to work from one vehicle, keeping the team together. Motor homes will not be permitted due to the size of some of the parking areas needed for the exchanges.
What will there be after the race for the athletes?
Every athlete will get several things including a t-shirt, finisher medal, finish line meal/food, music, etc…
