This event is the culmination of the entire season with 4 races in a single day! Choose from the Ogden Valley Half, Intermediate, Sprint and Kids Tri State Championship races! Combine these races with vendors, sponsors, and festivities for the whole family – right in the heart of the beautiful Ogden Valley in Huntsville, Utah!

Below is information regarding the events:
1) OGDEN VALLEY ENDURANCE DISTANCE – 1.5 mile swim, 48 mile bike, 10 mile run. Swimmers will start this endurance fest at Pineview Reservoirs Cemetery Point Beach. After the 2 loop swim, cyclists will bike 3 loops around Pineview reservoir. This year, cyclists will simply make the three loops without riding to the Monastery. The course is clockwise around Pineview Reservoir. After the 3-loop mostly flat ride, athletes will bike into Huntsville City Park to T2. Upon exiting T2, athletes will run 10 miles out and back around the town of Huntsville and surrounding areas.

2) INTERMEDIATE DISTANCE – 1 mile swim, 33 mile bike, 10k run. The 1 mile swim start at Cemetery Point Beach. Swimmers will swim two loops around bouys placed in the wakeless area on the lake. Olympic Distance bike course consists of the same bike course as the Endurance distance bike course, only consisting of two loops instead of three. The run is a flat 10k out and back course, wrapping things up in Huntsville State Park.
3) SPRINT – Saturday, September 13th. 850 yard swim, 16 mile bike, 5k run. The sprint tri will take place at the same location as the Endurance and Intermediate distance races, consisting of a one loop swim, one 16 mile bike around Pineview reservoir, and a 5k out and back run in Huntsville.
UTAH STATE TRIATHLON CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS
Top Event Awards will be given for overall, age-group, clydesdale & athena divisions.
The Utah State Triathlon Championship will be given to each individual (1st – 10th) for those who have qualified for the event. Age groups 1st – 5th will be awarded as well. For more information about the State Championships points series, please see the “points series” section.
Awards will be presented Saturday Afternoon at the post race BBQ & Awards Ceremony In Huntsville Park.

REMINDER: Per USA Triathlon rules, you MUST have current photo ID at packet pickup. You MUST pick up your packet in person. You may not have someone else pick up your packet for you. NO PHOTO ID, NO RACE, period.
Note: You MAY NOT pick up a packet/timing chip for another person. This can lead to timing chip switch, etc. You must pick up your own packet, no exceptions.
Race Day – Saturday September 12th
6:00 am – Transitions Open - T1 is at Cemetery Point Beach 1.6 miles away from the finish & T2. T2 is located at Huntsville Town Park next to the finish-line.
Transition Area Logistics: There will be labels with your specific race number on the bike racks. Find your spot and set up your T2 running gear. Give your self plenty of time to set up at T2 FIRST. Once your T2 gear is set-up, proceed on your bike to T1 at Cemetery Point Beach. Labels will also be placed on the T1 racks as well with your race number. Be sure to bring a large personal Transition Bag/backpack to haul your bike and swim gear to T1. Ride your bike to T2. Cars are not allowed into the Cemetery Point area on race day. We also be providing you a T1 gear plastic bag to place all your gear in. If your personal bag/backpack is too large for the gear bag, you will need to attached the gear back to your personal bag/backpack.
Spectators are allowed to the swim start, but must walk the 1.6 miles from the T2/Finish Area. Again, cars are not allowed in the entire Cemetery Point area.
7:45 am – Pre Race Meeting at Beach Front at Cemetery Point
8:00 am – Utah State Triathlon Championship Endurance distance Start Time
8:45 am – Utah State Triathlon Championship Intermediate Distance Start Time
9:15 am – Utah State Triathlon Championship Sprint Distance Start Time
12:00pm – NEW EARLIER TIME! Awards & BBQ Location: Huntsville Town Park
3:00pm – Ogden Endurance Course Closes
Run – There are aid stations at each mile on all run courses. Hammer Nutrition Drink, Water, and Hammer Gels will be available.
Bike – There are two aid stations on the half distance bike. Because this is a two loop course, the aid stations are at the same location at the Hunstville Monastery. There will be NO aid stations on the intermediate or sprint distance races.
Bike Number and Bib Number
You must attach the bike number provided in your race packet to your bike. The bike numbers have adhesive on the back that will not harm the paint on your bike frame. Failure to securely attach the number will result in a USAT time penalty. You DO NOT need to wear the bib number during the swim or bike. However, it MUST be worn during the run. Safety pins will be provided at packet pickup for those who need them.
Body marking (Friday Night & Saturday morning only)
You will be body marked on your shoulders and legs, indicating your race number, event, and age. You may then proceed to the transition area and arrange your equipment. No unregistered individuals will be allowed in the transition area for safety and liability purposes.
TriUtah believes in giving back to the community. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to various youth athletic programs.
In case of inclement weather, the race directors reserve the right to modify or cancel any portion of the triathlon if weather or course conditions compromise athlete safety.
Medical personnel will be on-site. Certified lifeguards will be present during the swim on watercraft and kayaks.
Parking is at the Huntsville Library, LDS Church and other public parking areas surrounding Huntsville Town Park.
Swimcaps corresponding to your event distance will be provided at packet pickup. The issued cap must be worn during the swim. We will post wave start times and assigned cap colors on Wednesday before the race.
Electronic chip timing of the event will be provided by Milliseconds. All participants will be timed and will be provided with 5 splits (swim, T1, Bike, T2, Run). Results will be posted on Saturday at http://www.milliseconds.com. Instructions for chip use will be provided in your race packet.

What Athletes Need to Know About Insurance Coverage: When an athlete purchases an annual USAT license or one-day permit, a portion of those fees goes to cover the cost to provide them with excess medical insurance. This coverage only extends to their participation in a USA Triathlon sanctioned event.
