This is a single-day women’s only running relay! Each team consists of 3-6 people, you choose your team. Each team member will run three to six ~3 mile legs (depending on the size of the team) in leap-frog fashion. The event is Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Heber Valley (Heber City/Midway), Utah.
All you ladies out there, this one’s for you! Almost anyone can complete a 5k (~3 miles), so why not run on a team with your girlfriends? The Woman of Steel Relay Run is 54 miles in length, split into ~3 mile segments. Starting on Saturday morning with teams of 3 – 6 women, each person on your team will take turns running three to six separate 5k’s to the finish by Saturday evening! Located in beautiful Heber Valley, you will start and finish at one of Utah’s top resorts where you will be treated like a queen! This race is for anyone and everyone who is ready for a worry-free, lady friendly event (sorry guys, women only, but we want you there to cheer them on!). As a participant you will also have the opportunity to nominate the first Woman of Steel Running Relay recipient. This award will be given to a deserving woman who uses exercise to overcome insurmountable obstacles in her life. You will not be disappointed!
