7th Annual TriUtah Ogden Valley Triathlon™
Postponed to 2010
Event Description:
Designated as one of the top 10 places in the US to enjoy the changing of seasons, Ogden Valley will dazzle the eye as you participate in a one-of-a-kind event; Utah's only "Equalizer" triathlon, sponsored in part by the Ogden Valley Business Association, and Snowbasin Resort. Following the triathlon, the awards ceremony and the annual "Taste of Ogden Valley Festival" will take place simultaneously featuring live music, a "bounce house" and other activities for kids, and local restaurant food booths from the Ogden Valley.
What is the "Equalizer" (Battle of the Sexes) Format? Using the finishing times from previous TriUtah triathlons, TriUtah will use statistical analysis to determine a "gap" time between Males and Females in each race category including an open competitive wave, Age Groups, Clyde/Athena, and Relays. That "gap" time will be used as the time between the male and female waves. For example, if the gap time for F20-24 and M20-24 was 2:15, the F20-24 wave will start 2:15 ahead of the M20-24 wave. It's a race to the finish as awards will be given to the Top 5 finishers in each age group. That means the podium may consist of all men, all women, or a mix of both! Proceeds from the Ogden Valley Triathlon help support the Ogden Valley Business Association and Ogden Valley Pathways. Ogden Valley Pathways seeks to provide the public with a network of non-motorized pathways within the Ogden Valley in a manner that preserves the natural environment and enhances the quality of life.

This coverage only extends to their participation in a USA Triathlon sanctioned event.
If you have questions specific to your coverage, please email to sanction@usatriathlon.org or call the group benefits department at ESIX at 1-800-342-4371.
